How do medically injured people afford basic necessities while trying to combat medical bills?

Synthesis:

In America, the costs of insurance are relatively high. As seen in the diagram below, either way, health insurance costs are rigged, so people end up paying a “high” or the “highest” amounts for health insurance in out-of-pocket costs or premiums. These statistics, of course, exclude Americans without insurance who pay 100% in out-of-pocket costs. With this being said, as Americans struggle to pay medical bills for accidents, injuries, and/or illnesses, it becomes hard to afford the basic necessities needed and even food to take care of one’s self. At Wellness Deliveries, our main targets are anyone struggling with recovery and hospital expenses because American health insurance is tremendously costly to everyone and is an issue that every American battles with.

Existing food delivery services (such as Grubhub, UberEats, Postmates, and Doordash) also cater to these people. However, the difference between Wellness Deliveries and our competition is that we’re a Non-Profit Organization (NPO). As a NPO, our costs are significantly lower and the care we pour into our company is unmatched by our competitors. By lowering our prices, we address the issue of affordability.

Our “For Now” Response

At Wellness Deliveries, we aim to impact Americans for the better. By providing a grade A delivery service and affordable costs, we hope to alleviate the stress of those recovering and trying to pay expenses. The health and well-being of our customers are our top priority

  1. Hi Amanda,
Awesome work! I think this a great business that you have formatted, and I really hope that you are able to put this affirmative plan into action, as I think that it would truly benefit loads of people who need it. I like how considerate you have been of everyone’s financial situation, and acknowledge that there is a system in place, which overtly doesn’t benefit a certain class. I think that this delivery service would be put into use by many people, and potentially if allowed you would get people who are outside of the intended class engaging in your services. I am really excited to see where you will take this project, keep up the good work! My question for you is, how will you get people to pull away from the typical services such as UberEats, etc…, and successfully market your business among all the competitions?
